Where We Started And Where We Are Headed

We are a British-Ghanaian business corporation. Our group of companies (P-OHI Co. Ltd) are family-run businesses with origins traced back to 1976 when Patriarch Founder, Godfred Agyepong Mamphey (Snr) established the first venture Neon Associates Pharmaceuticals; which later translated into GAM Enterprises trading in pharmaceuticals, agribusiness, as a restauranteur, Etc. in Ghana – West Africa.

Godfred A. Mamphey’s (Snr) children were raised with a culture of freedom, responsibility, innovation and excellence; as the driving force to shape the organisations services. Our Patriarch Founder’s organisation was further advanced when his last son and Associate, Daniel Akoto Mamphey, firmed-up the organisation by pursuing early majors in mathematics and the sciences, starting from the mid 1980’s; with a commitment to delivering the highest quality science-based services at competitive and world-beating prices.

Our history has involved transformation, modernisation, and growth from our original simple days to a global pipeline life science consultancy with an extensive, diverse range of services and skills –backed by networked, international chartered scientists, providing solutions for the broad life sciences markets.

Profile: Godfred A. Mamphey (Snr)

P-OHI Founder Godfred Agyepong Mamphey; born in the challenging, colonial, pre-self reliance days of the West-African region of Ghana: Started the organisation as a self-educated science entrepreneur in the consecutive colonial-dependency days of the region. The organisation he started was basic, purposeful, progressive, and pro-enterprise. As a Patriarch with an utmost appreciation for the value of progressive, formal education; he inculcated this high regard in both family and every employee associated with the organisation. The impact of the organisation’s initial days and its subsequent reach was not as obvious. Today, P-OHI is growing to become a West-African scientifics conglomerate and despite serving clients universally; it is focused on the improvement of both the outward individual human plight as well as the intrinsic condition. He currently serves as Founding President of P-OHI Co. Ltd.

Profile: Daniel A. Mamphey

As P-OHI Associate Founder and the last son of the organisation’s founder: Daniel Akoto Mamphey started as an assistant and close companion of his Father. In his foundation years, he was a diligent student of various subjects elementary to the sciences. Later in his teen and post-teenage years, he was an essential bulwark both to his Father and The organisation: As Business Administrator and Manager (Projects and Business Development). He entered into more Senior (Directorship and Executive) roles after thorough and comprehensive, advanced work and education in business and the sciences. Further research work and education followed, leading up to starting start-ups after explorations in the western hemisphere. He is currently both Founding Chief Executive of  Optymum SS (UK) Ltd, as well as Vice President of P-OHI Co. Ltd. He is a 2022 and 2023 recipient of CEO Monthly’s CEO of the year award.
